Butter Toffee

We make this super crunchy buttery toffee from scratch in small batches. Long and slow is the way to do it, stirring and stirring and stirring. We then pour it onto a slab, cool it, slather it with chocolate, and garnish it with a tiny bit of course sea salt to make it pop. My sweet grandmother, Mary, called it her drug of choice.
